Can Mum and Dad live in this backyard?
The yard is already there. So is the equity from years of paying off the front house. What's left is three questions: does it fit, what's the number, and who says yes. This site answers them one at a time, on your screen.
Start with: does it fitFree, no account. Your numbers stay on your device.
Your yard. The journey draws the house into it.
A Melbourne backyard. Not our build yet: real photos start with build number one.
Where would the money come from? Often it's already in the front house.
Plenty of families own a lot of house and not much spare income. Years of repayments have left real equity in the home, and that's what most families build their parents' place with. The number page shows the picture with two sliders: your numbers, on your device, sent nowhere.
It's a sum so you can picture it, not advice. The lender still decides.
Five steps. Each one draws another line.
It starts with the empty yard and ends with a place held in the build queue. Finish a step and its lines stay on the drawing.
Other builders show you a display home. We show you your backyard.
Type your address and your actual boundary loads from Victoria's public map. Drag one of four architect-drawn plans around your own yard and watch the checks answer as you move: setbacks, the gap to your house, the tree, the easement strip. When something doesn't fit, you see the REASON, not a sales call.
Sit it yourself. Free, on your screen, no phone number required. The map can't see everything: slope, soil and your council's exact rules are confirmed by a person, free. A 'no' costs nothing.
Sit it on your own yardThe back house. Four plans, done properly.
One and two bedroom homes with a full kitchen, bathroom, laundry and private entry. Built on site, step by step. Not a prefab box off a truck.

The actual architect drawings, the same ones the quote is built from. Not renders of someone else's house. Tap one to sit it on your yard. Pricing publishes when it's contract-accurate, never as 'from' prices.
The price comes after the land. Never before.
No 'from' prices. No approval buttons. No photos of other people's homes. A number goes up only when it matches the contract. And the written quote is yours. Take it to any builder and compare.

Common questions
What does a back house cost?
The base price isn't published yet. It goes up once, contract-accurate, with the full inclusions list. What you can see today are two real numbers of your own: the equity in your front house, and the weekly repayment if you borrowed, on The number.
I own my home but my income is small. Is this realistic?
Often, yes. Years of repayments usually leave real equity in the house, and that's what most families build with. The number shows the picture in two sliders. A broker and lender make the actual call.
Will it fit my block?
Try the fit check. It takes about a minute. On your real block, we confirm boundaries and council rules in person before anything is promised.
Is this a granny flat?
Legally, a secondary dwelling. Practically, a small home: own kitchen, bathroom and front door, built to the same standard as any house.
Why there are no photos of finished homes here.
Because we haven't finished one yet, and we won't borrow someone else's. What stands behind this page instead: a registered builder (named on every quote), the domestic building insurance Victorian law requires on jobs this size, a deposit capped at 5% by the Domestic Building Contracts Act, and a line-by-line written quote you can take to any other builder and compare.
The photo gallery starts with build number one, photographed with that family's blessing. Until then, the open ledger lists every gap on this site and exactly what closes it.

A minute on the fit check tells you more than an afternoon of brochures.
